Here at CSD we believe everyone should design their own house. While a standard off-the-shelf developer house will provide a roof over your head - we reckon you’ll be disappointed; CSD does not believe in the one-size-fits-all formula for housing in the UK. Not only does it mean all houses look the same, but they fail to meet their purpose.
CSD believes in utilising a balanced approach to design which allows enlightened self-builders to develop a unique layout and form, while utilising standardised styles and technical details to ensure construction is straightforward and cost-efficient.
Autonomy and User Experience
CSD believes occupation of a home begins well before the first brick has been laid. CSD uses the most up to date 3d Visualisation technology allowing clients to occupy their future home in an interactive Virtual Reality (VR) allowing them to experience their home first hand and enable them to make informed, focused design changes at the very early stages of a project, avoiding costly variations or worse - disappointment - later in the process.
Energy Independence
There has never been a better time to invest in domestic energy production. At CSD we are passionate about people taking back control and increasing their energy independence through the utilisation of Microgeneration. Intergration of Photovoltaic Solar Panels, Thermal Solar Panels, Domestic Turbines, Heat Pumps and Energy Storage is central to CSD’s design process, ensuring that your new house will be energy efficient.
A fully functional MG system, combined with a CSD-designed passive house, will ensure your new house stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter, without any need for expensive Air Conditioning. A well-insulated, well-planned house with a full MG system can often achieve heating costs of 0, saving you thousands of pounds per year.
